This classic 49" x 49" black and white Arabic scarf is traditionally known as Keffiyeh, Kufiya, Hatta or Shemagh scarf. Kuffiyeh is commonly found in arid regions as it provides protection from sunburn, dust and sand. Its distinctive standard woven checkered pattern may have originated in an ancient Mesopotamian representation of either fishing nets or ears of grain, but the true origin of the pattern remains unknown. The black-and-white kufiya is often referred to as the unofficial Palestinian flag, and carries deep meaning for many who wear it. There are numerous stories about the origin of its pattern. It is said to represent a fishing net, a honeycomb, the joining of hands, or the marks of dirt and sweat wiped off a worker's brow, among other things. Whether you are wanting to display appreciation for your Arabic heritage, show solidarity or simply looking for a way to add a bit of style to your black and white outfits, this fashionable scarf is the perfect choice for you! You can dress them up or you can wear them with casual outfits such as jeans and a tee. The large size allows them to be worn as a neck scarf or used for a wide variety of other purposes such as a protective head covering, a handy towel or a comfy throw blanket. Unlike lesser quality scarves, ours are incredibly soft and extremely comfortable. They are made out of a breathable cotton material which keeps you cool on hot summer days and warm during the cold winter months. Well, what are you waiting for? It's time to add one of these stylish Arabic scarves to your collection of fashion accessories.

This keffiyeh/shemagh is beautifully made. The quality shows as the cotton is soft and the weave/knit is fine unlike the typical keffiyeh found elsewhere. The fabric is not too thin nor is it too thick. The washing instructions is on a card stock included with the package where it says to hand wash the keffiyeh; however, I ended up washing it on delicate mode in the machine. After drying it on extra low heat, the keffiyeh came out nicely: no loose weaves/knits and the color did not fade! The color is true to the photos. I highly recommend this keffiyeh if you’re looking for great quality at a reasonable price.

This is a very well made Shemagh. The detail is unique. Not just your average “checkerboard” pattern most shemagh’s you see sold in America. I often wear one either riding horse, or ATV in the dusty desert of Arizona.
This is my first keffiyeh and I am pleased with the quality of this scarf. The fabric feels somewhat silky with a tight weave and tassels along all four sides; the colors are good. Substantial size. The seller advises hand-washing and hanging to dry. Happy with my purchase and plan to get another one in black and white.

This is perfect, was going to give it to my wife for the color but decided I am going to keep it. This is thick and substantial material for what it is. It feels very luxurious
The fabric of this shemagh is not as soft and cottony as my others. But it does look very nice. I suspect I’ll LOVE it on long bike rides this summer for the same reason that I don’t love it in the winter: the almost sheer (see through) cotton.
the packaging was great and the personalized sincere note was a nice touch. The only that made it where I didn’t give 5 stars was the Tassel, it’s sewn on and not part of the whole fabric.
Great colors, high quality. hefty material, Silky smooth, very comfortable.
What a beautiful shemagh! Love the color, the material, the craftsmanship… all of it! It actually arrived shortly after a record setting snow event in SC so I was able to use it — was kept nice and warm! <3 Will definitely be recommending to others.
Great quality, good sturdy cloth. Insulation value is significant. Comfy as a warm puppy.
beautiful scarf, well made, soft cotton. Feels good as a scarf, complemented often
